Abysmal Growls Of Despair from France and The Cold View from Germany have joined forces on a new split which has just been released, Songs Of Deepest Skies.
The two artists divide the album's time with AGOD contributing with three long tracks of hopelessness and decay, while The Cold View do their part with a really long, atmospheric, over half hour track.
As a couple of aspiring European funeral doom bands, the two artists' aesthetics and sounds blend together really well and as far as cold, dark and heavy funeral doom can go as a genre, these two can definitely take it there. Highly recommended for those who've had a rough season start so far this summer...
The album is out on Frozen Light on a limited run of just 100 digipack CD (size A5).
