Sweden's Westkust, after spending a few years trying to establish their sound and set on a steady lineup, they finally released their debut album, Last Forever, first in their home country and later in the summer in the US too via Run For Cover.
Energetic power pop guitars and fuzzy post-punk attitude, with intense overtones of psychedelic pop, you wouldn't be blamed if at times you took Westkust (Swedish for "West Coast") for a seventies Californian psych rock band. They could also easily find a place in the pile of the many shoegaze revivalists, with My Bloody Valentine being the most obvious point of reference for their fuzzy, dreamy sound.
