At only 45, Malik Isaac Taylor aka Phife Dawg aka The Five Foot Assassin left this world too soon, due to complications relating to diabetes. His legendary rap band, A Tribe Called Quest was one of the greatest acts the genre has ever seen.
His 2014 single, Dear Dilla, a tribute to his friend and fellow great late rapper, J Dilla, was one of his last great offerings to the world.
On November 2015 A Tribe Called Quest reunited briefly to perform Can I Kick It? on The Tonight Show together with The Roots.
