You may have met Kyle Bates through his couple of previous releases as Drowse (an EP and an LP) or the latest album by Miserable on which his has contributed as a co-writer on two songs. Now you get a chance to know the guy a bit better, as The Native Sound is about to release his new EP, Memory Bed.
Drowse cites among his influences the music of Grouper, Mount Eerie, Velvet Cacoon, and Unwound as well as the writings of Roland Barthes and Sarah Manguso. On Memory Bed Sabonis' Maya Stoner handles the vocal duties who also contributed lyrics for the song Memory.
