Brooklyn songwriter, Jeni Magana, has recently released her debut EP,
Golden Tongue, on indie label Audio Antihero. Having already drawn comparison to the likes of St. Vincent and Sharon Van Etten,
Golden Tongue is comprised of four songs and it clocks only at twelve minutes, still the EP's somber, downbeat boldness , as delicate as it may sound, it also speaks volumes about the artist's songwriting abilities and subtle genuineness.
Inches Apart, one of the release's focal points, is an intimate tearjerker weighted with Magana's bedroom pop contemplation and the lo-fi rectitude of an up-and-coming artist who's only just begun, yet about whom we're eager to see what the next step is going to be.
