Andy Nagashima from Japan and Adam McGinn from Boston are an electronic left-field duo, that goes by two different monikers, used interchangeably, depending on the vibes of the shows they're performing at: Earlynineties (also stylized as E90s) is used for the more club/hip-hop/DJ occassions, and YDIMITU (Why Do I Matter In The Universe), which is for the more indie-oriented material of theirs.
The duo was created in 2011 and on a series of EP releases on their Bandcamp they deliver some promising experimental electronica.
We find that YDIMITU is at their best at their quieter and more downtempo moments, a fine example of which is Playboy which we are advised by the artists to listen "right before going to sleep."
