Lumer is a fairly young four-piece band from Hull, UK, that combines the briskness of post punk with the firmness and grit of grunge. Their latest single Futile b/w Pink Noise is a highly energetic dark rocker which will square up those three minutes of your time and it was released on the reliable independent label, Warren Records. More where that came from is expected in 2017.
The simple but aesthetically very fitting to the song's mood music video, directed by Luke Hallett, is shot at a dilapidated building, portraying the band while they frantically perform among the ruins.
Lead vocalist and bass player Alex Evans says about the track: "Futile is about the obsession that’s left after rejection. That feeling of being useless, and the anger that it brings."
