If you were just drawn into this because of the vividly colorful eye-catching cover artwork, wait until you have given the content that comes with it a good listen.
That bright artwork is courtesy of Florian Renner, while the music that's attached to it comprises the fantastic upcoming album by Sweden's Robert Parker, a synthwave master who has deservedly built a large following with his prolific work so far.
Parker constructed his new work at his studio in Stockholm out of his personal experience touring around Europe and Russia during 2016, drawing inspiration from the people he met while being on the road.
Awakening is self-proclaimed as a "musical call to arms" and by the looks and sounds of it, it seems that Parker is going to be continuing his excellent run as one of the genre's finest.
Awakening drops February 17th via Lazerdiscs Records. Look out for the gorgeous physical editions of it on CD and cassette.
