Toronto's Traitrs offer a dark and razor sharp type of gothic rock and post punk agility which brings to mind much of The Cure's Pornography era, as well as more of the British post punk sound of the early eighties, bands like The Sound, The Comsat Angels or Sad Lovers And Giants.
Their new EP, Speak In Tongues, themed around illness and death, comes out May 9th on Pleasence Records and its self titled first single sounds eminently bleak, like a lost post punk gem that has been there for 35 years but we're only discovering it now.
