Coming from Des Moines, IA, and comprised of Lisa Burner and Andy Buch, garage rock duo, Odd Pets, came to be at its present arrangement, not long after its two members tried on other creative ideas, including a stint as a noise group named Hary Pusey. While there's no doubt they must have sounded super classy under that moniker, as Odd Pets the duo deliver a superb rendition of classic garage rock which sounds both forceful and stoic at the same time.
The duo was featured on stage at the 80/35 Music Festival and they recorded their upcoming debut LP,
Heavy Petting, soon to be released on Iowa's independent garage rock label Workerbee Records.
According to the band, their first single, Brian Jones, is about "drowning in toxic love."
