King Woman had a song titled Burn on their breakthrough 2016 EP, Doubt. Burn was also the title of a highlight track off the latest album, Under The World, by LA-based dark pop duo, VOWWS. Naturally the two sides joined forces for the re-imagining of VOWWS' piece, titled Burn II, with Kristina Esfandiari on guest vocal duty.
A little briefer and rather stripped down compared to the original, the new version feels rawer and more direct, with Kristina's unrefined vocals shining, and boosting the great composition with a second wind, standing out as a welcome alternative version of a recent favorite.
The accompanying art was created by Jesse Draxler whose work is everywhere these days.
