The longest of the four pieces on the new EP, Reaction, by Canadian trio, Odonis Odonis, closing track, The Rip offers a smooth and impeccable mixture of industrial electronica and psychedelia. Totally approachable and memorable as it is, the song becomes a striking climax to the EP's overall strong impact.
Odonis Odonis produced, mixed, and mastered Reaction themselves, which they wrote and recorded in support of their 2017 album, No Pop.
The derisive vocal delivery on The Rip, enhanced with hair raising howls and outrcries, adds more weight to the tension and severity that the production and instrumentation artfully devise, as the song grows into one of the most shapely and well developed pieces of music the band has put out so far.
