A fresh voice in the world of shoegaze, Copenhagen-based duo, Pinemoon, will be releasing their debut album, Miracle, in the Fall 2019. First single and video, Sinister, comes forth strong, high-reaching and ambitious, echoing a lot from shoegaze's forefront and the genre's top ranking acts, like Slowdive, My Bloody Valentive and Pale Saints.
Sweetly melancholic like its meritorious influences, Sinister is a classy and notable first release for the rising act, and an appealing indication of the album to come. Bleak and indeed sinister in its nature, the song draws its theme from the notion of a worldview falling apart, and it's a conspicuous and fully realized debut track.
Pinemoon are Christoffer Schultz (vocals and guitar) and Steven Stern Stewart (bass and vocals). Miracle will be released later this year on the Danish record label, Pinhead Music.
