Another outlet for Jacob Bannon's ceaseless creativity, Wear Your Wounds evolve into a full blown, five-piece band, expanding from its mere beginnings as a solo project, and come forth with Rust on the Gates of Heaven, a new full length that follows 2017's WYW, the more experimental Dunedevil, and last year's Live at the BBC.
The new album finds the band writing and recording as a unit for the first time, and the title track, unveiled together with a beautiful, somber clip directed by Max Moore demonstrates the band's re-invigoration, and their shift toward a more progressive direction.
Wear Your Wounds are composed of Jacob Bannon (Converge), Mike McKenzie (The Red Chord, Stomach Earth, Unraveller, etc), Adam McGrath (Cave In, Nomad Stones, etc), Sean Martin (Twitching Tongues, ex-Hatebreed, ex-Kid Cudi), and Chris Maggio (ex-Trap Them, ex-Sleigh Bells, etc), with additional contributions by Ben Chisholm and Gared O’Donnell. Rust on the Gates of Heaven comes out July 12th, 2019 via Deathwish Inc.
