Danish electronica producer, Trentemøller, will be releasing his new album, Obverse, on September 27th, 2019 through his own label In My Room. The upcoming album will be the artist's first in three years, following the quite praised, Fixion, from 2016.
In The Garden is the latest single we get to hear off the forthcoming LP. It's a completely organic, direct and engaging piece of well constructed, slow building electronica, featuring the eminent vocal contribution of singer, Lina Tullgren.
"I was thinking about how we don’t really write songs," Lina Tullgren says. "We’re more like conduits for them, and often lyrics just flow out of you without any sort of rhyme or reason. Sometimes it’s decisive, and you’re simply trying to capture what and how you felt in a situation, but more often it’s not about a deliberate process, and more like blindly channelling."
Obverse will also feature collaborations with Lisbet Fritze, Rachel Goswell of Slowdive and jennylee of Warpaint.
