Sioux Falls post punk quartet, Lot Lizard, have a third single unveiled ahead of the release of their self-titled debut album which arrives December 6th, 2019 through Different Folk Records.
The four-minute piece, City, finds the band at their rawest, and apparently their most lethargic, as it's a demanding slow-burner which rivets the listener through an attracting kind of detachment that calls up memories of Joy Division, and more from post punk's early and very dark culmination.
Lindy Wise's baritone vocal once again factors in powerfully to the song's poignancy, while the solidly built instrumentals, as well as the production which upholds the just right amount of roughness, all account for a superlatively firm composite.
