Consistently adding to the notion that classical and contemporary work wonders together when in the right hands, Nothing Is Something, the new album by composer Carly Paradis, continues to provide genre defying pieces of music, as it's also been a means to a series of weighty collaborations.
S U R V I V E member and film composer, Michael Stein, puts his own innovative spin on the album's leading track, The Crushing Weight Of History, which in its original form features a notable vocal by Mew's Jonas Bjerre, and transforms it into something moody and nocturnal, akin to the synth-heavy character of his own eminent work, and very different from the prototype.
