Fresh shoegaze duo, Palm Haze, began in Ilhabela, Brazil and are currently based in Vancouver, Canada. Rêve Bleu was the band's second full length, released last year, which now gets the vinyl release treatment through Young Heavy Souls. One of the record's standout tracks, the driving Drop In, is now accompanied by a good looking video, seething with color, high contrasts and over-saturation.
Very much conscious musically, Drop In is a contemporary shoegazer which takes cognizance of the genre's history and past, but feels free of constraints. sharp but unpolished. and all around organic, especially since the razor-edged guitars and the notably composed vocals come together in such strong unison.
