Experienced contemporary electronica producer, The Toxic Avenger, has returned with new album, Midnight Resistance, showing signs of distancing from the dark electro sound of his recent past, and a tendency to experiment more with approachable styles which vary from new age and synthpop to film music and classic rock.
ЧЕРНОЕ ЛЕТО (Black Summer) is a Carpenter-esque theme with a spacey sci-fi atmosphere, perfectly matched to an animated video of an analogous identity directed by Kevin Deviercy. The track clearly justifies why The Toxic Avenger is considered one of the finest creators in synthwave, and while it retains parts of the horror and suspenseful properties of his earlier material, it also shows the artist's intentions for something more composite and different.
