Calgary, AB duo, Miesha & The Spanks follow their successful previous album, Girls Girls Girls, from 2018 with new singles cut from the same cloth as the energetic garage rock sound for which the band has been praised since their first appearance in 2008.
Led by guitarist, bassist and vocalist, Miesha Louie, and rounded out with drummer, Sean Hamilton, the band offer a dynamic mixture of punk, garage rock and hard rock embellished with straightforward lyrics, gritty production and hard hitting performances, a timeless formula for constructing something that affecting and memorable.
Over the years Miesha & The Spanks supported top class acts like Queens Of The Stone Age, Death From Above 1979, Hot Snakes, Propagandhi, White Lung and more. The direct garage and surf-bent rock 'n' roll of their recent single, Unstoppable, is followed by new piece, Wanna Feel Good, another animated and super fuzzy rocker which finds the duo at their tensest and grittiest, and doesn't fail to once again impress. It will all lead up to the coming Singles EP, expected in 2021.
