In its four song entirety, the self titled new EP by Canadian shoegaze act, Sicayda, shows off the band's darker direction and a more considered and culminated songwriting style compared to their auspicious first EP, Sown, which came out one year ago.
EP closer, Stuck, comes a bit more concise and immediate than the singles which preceded it, and finds the group trying a more pop-bent rendering of their huge sound, while maintaining the fuzziness and the heavy grunge acerbity which has been one of their strongest properties.
