Having very recently released one of last year's finest EPs and one of its most promising debuts, Philadelphia's Total Rubbish seem to be on a consistent upward slope, and the notion of a possible full length of the same psychedelic garage rock fuzz as the deeply satisfying Triple Negative, appears more than appealing.
Kids, one of the EP's five fuzzy rockers, is a great achievement of sixties-like psych pop which counterbalances its instrumental grit with melodious vocals and an underlying sense of homeliness and ease.
Total Rubbish are composed of Bre Steinfeldt (bass), Cass Nguyen (guitar) and Kiki Schiller (drums).
