Zyko is the final single off the really well made album, Vyvyd, by Italian post punk band, New Candys. The new full length arrives on June 4th, 2021 via Little Cloud Records and Dischi Sotterranei together with an exclusive vinyl edition through Fuzz Club.
The latest single's title is a vitiated take on the word 'psycho', and it comes with a frisky, yet, profound philosophical approach which defends that something doesn't have to be insane if to those who don't completely comprehend it.
The band comment: "Probably the most playful song of the record, with unstable guitars and a heavy marching drum beat — in a way it breaks the fourth wall because it speaks directly to the audience. Zyko is Psycho misspelled. Could be related to the quote 'And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music' (Nietzsche)."
The new track is matched to a psychedelic visual which juxtaposes black and white aesthetics with vivid color highlights.
New Candys are also announcing their first batch of tour dates in support of the new album scheduled for Fall 2021.
