Generally underappreciated and coming on strong with a solid and direct take on hardcore punk, North Carolina quartet, Totally Slow, are already gearing up for their third album, Casual Drag, which will be released on June 4th, 2021 via Refresh Records.
The band bring together a numberless of tasteful influences from all aspects of punk and noise rock, with DC hardcore and SoCal punk being the most prominent, citing influence from Drive Like Jehu, The Adolescents, Agent Orange, Truman's Water and Fugazi among many others.
First single and album opener, Found Factions, is a punchy and gutty punk rocker which expresses the predominant dynamism of Totally Slow, and introduces what's expected to be a pretty high-powered and well executed record. The track comes with a nice, unadorned video shot and directed by Reid Haithcock.
