Versari is a post punk three piece from France, with a dark, yet, easy to take in sound, an aptitude for good productions and bold aesthetics, and a propensity for resonant melody. The band's recent second album, Sous la Peau, from November 2020, made a rather strong impression, continued now with the fresh EP, Brûle.
The new release is composed of three versions of Brûle, a standout track from Sous la Peau, including a radio edit, a remix from Gareth Jones (Depeche Mode, Einstürzende Neubauten, Wire, Erasure), one by Erica Nockalls (The Wonder Stuff), together with a remix of another album track, Des Images, done by School Daze.
Brûle now comes paired to an imaginative, cinematic video which captures the music's darkness, created by Renaud de Foville.
Versari are Jean-Charles Versari (vocals, guitar), former Sloy member Cyril Bilbeaud (drums), and former Candie Prune member Laureline Prod'home (bass, backing vocals).
