Being one of death metal's best bets for the future, Ontario's Acid Womb bring more of their ferocious energy to the front with their battering new track, Communion.
"Communion is a grim look at the past year and a half," the band comment. "This is easily the most pissed off track we’ve written thus far and also a reflection of the amount of damage we have done to each other and the environment."
With absolute despair written all over the song's lyrics, Communion represents Acid Womb's hardcore-bent/modernized take on death metal, while at the same time it looks up to the genre's cornerstones. Notably so, the band seems to be following a darker and more atmospheric path which is also a very good match to their extreme sound.
