LA's DAWN FADES emerge firmly with a vibrant dark sound fusing elements from doom, progressive and death metal, given through a contemporary point of view, ultimately resulting to an intricate post metal variant.
The band's new album, Ode, will be following their self-titled debut from 2019, and it comes out on September 10th, 2021 via Metal Assault Records. The impressive first taste off it is Taste, a five minute piece of gazey extreme metal force which comes with accordingly strong black and white visuals by Chariot of Black Moth.
Frontman and songwriter Sam Sherwood comments: “For this video the constraints of the pandemic pushed us to try something different. We had for some time been fans of Chariot Of Black Moth's work so choosing him was a no brainer. I recorded some footage at home and he turned it into something that perfectly captures the tone of the song. Enjoy!”
Sherwood continues to characterize the entirety of Ode as “a picture of feelings about the trappings of the world we find ourselves in. I believe we are doing a thing that has its own life to it. There is darkness and screaming inner-torment and there are ear-worm hooks.”
