Spanish heavy instrumental rockers, BLAK, release their new album, El Tall d'Escil·la, which translates to Scylla's Cut and draws inspiration from the Greek mythology. Opening track, Contra nosaltres quan siguem forts (Against ourselves when we're strong), hints on the band's love for classical composition, while it showcases their downright heavy and deeply emotional approach on post rock.
They elaborate on the track's theme: "Philosopher LluĂs Maria Xirinacs stated 'we will fight against the powerful when we are weak, and against ourselves when we are strong.' But, how do we recognize our position and how do we know in which way it determines our perspective? How do we interpret the myth of Scylla? As powerful or as weak?"
