Pink Milk: Here Comes the Pain

In very little time Pink Milk have released a series of thrilling singles, all of which will be part of their anticipated sophomore album, Ultraviolet. Here Comes the Pain is the fourth and latest example off the impending album, seeing the band once more as a prime act in contemporary dreampop and shoegaze.

With hints at nineties dreampop and by drawing a lot from eighties post punk, Pink Milk have managed to establish a sound and an aesthetical approach which separates them from commonplaces, mentioning dark comics and manga-like images as parallels to what they do, as well as the music of The Cure, The Smiths and so forth.

With its dismal lyrical direction set on the idea of losing someone, Here Comes the Pain is a piece suggestive of Pink Milk and Black Hair Records' dark and engaging scope.
