The Album Leaf revisit the excellent One Day I’ll Be On Time on its twentieth anniversary, they rework it, and release it as One Day XX. Jimmy LaValle, together with longtime collaborator James McAlister and members of his live band, observes the songs of his breakthrough album through a different point a view, and by way of new arrangements, at this certain point as a more experienced composer and creator.
The MP (JMJL Rework) takes a slightly more ambient approach than the original, coming across as something subtly polished, and unquestionably true to LaValle's initial vision for a post rock sound which contests the genre's basic, but also appears completely attainable for all kinds of audiences.
