Coming from the debut album, Shattered, by San Diego synthpop duo, Glass Spells, Confessions is a piece of eighties dark pop throwback, enhanced with a contemporary twist, verging on the neo-futurism of current synthwave.
One of the few singles which have derived from the album, the quite memorable Confessions comes with a nightly and vivid video directed by Mitch Wilson of Lunar Maps Productions, and edited by the group's own Tania Costello.
Glass Spells merge their evocative synth-heavy melodies and pulsating rhythms with wonderfully expressed vocals, and sound flawless doing so, with their hints of nostalgia always front and center.
Shattered is out through Negative Gain Productions.
