Marry the Night is a nocturnal and introverted love song, another bluesy and moody cut from Admire, the anticipated debut album by GHXST which comes out in its entirety on April 22nd, 2022.
The new track is a truly characteristic GHXST work, centered on a dark type of instrumental weightiness and fuzz, showcasing Shelley X's expressive vocal, and coming off as a quite heavy and all around engrossing listen.
The song is paired with a DIY video, a patchwork of stories filmed on iPhone by band friends, moving from New York to New Orleans to Palau to Los Angeles. Despite the absence of a storyline, these wistful black and white shots depict a narrative which feels like someone's memories from an enduring day.
Admire was mixed by the band's long-time collaborator and producer James Aparicio (Nick Cave, Depeche Mode, Spiritualized, Liars).
