Brilliant, emotive, instrumental post rock comes courtesy of up and coming Oakland, California-based band, lapses, who have recently delivered flatland, their debut EP filled with sonic innovation and refined musicianship.
Now the Medicine is Taking Me, the EP's closer, is made up of three sections which combine calmer moments with foreseeable, yet, cathartic blasts, culminating in a positively unified piece. The track seems like one of the bitterer, darker, and more existential-bent works of the EP which provides a beautiful balance of brighter and sulkier tones in its five-song entirety.
