On the heels of their well received latest album, Cleareye Shining, Melbourne band, Bitumen, unveil the third single and video off it. Moving Now Now Now clearly shows a different size of the band, indulging in surrealist and expressionist notions, and demonstrating eye-catching aesthetics.
Produced by Jenny Branagan and Andrea Blake, and edited by Bitumen member, Bryce Maher, the new video, although direct in its essence, it looks like an all-inclusive feed of stage and Hollywood musicals, highly stylized dark noir figures, and the pinnacle of MTV's music videos.
Bitumen's sound is rooted in post punk, synthpop and darkwave, and the band have earned a reputation playing alongside the likes of Lydia Lunch, Peter Murphy, The Chameleons, Drab Majesty and JP Shilo. The band is composed of Kate Binning (vocals), Sam Varney (guitar), Bryce Maher (guitar) and Simon Maisch (bass, electronics).
