Emerging band, Now After Nothing return with their second single, Fixation Fantasy, another incredible example of their diverse spectrum of influences, spanning electronica, post punk, and darkwave sounds, among others.
Now After Nothing's Matt Spatial comments on the new single: "The sonic atmosphere of the song is like one giant burning star of continuous combustion. It feels equal parts uneasy and harmonious happening all at once. It is warm meets cold, pain meets pleasure, and captures the exact story of the song’s lyrical content: a tale of the worst psychologically abusive relationship. It is about the struggle to break free and reclaim one's self/identity in the aftermath as told from all three sides of the story."
Fixation Fantasy was produced by John Davis (The Jesus and Mary Chain, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds) and mixed by Carl Glanville (U2, Joan Jett).
Sharp guitars and a twisted bass line which pair finely with the sentimental intensity of the song's gloomy lyrical base, create another thrilling listen, as Now After Nothing continue to demonstrate their artistic identity as a new act.
