Aggrieved and discontented, post punk band The Psychotic Monks have created the wonderful album, Pink Colour Surgery, out on Fat Cat Records. The full length is powerful throughout, and it's loaded with tension which is unsettling, ideological, and occasionally scorching, after making a lot of noise in both the literal and metaphoric sense in Paris.
Although based in post punk and noise rock in a distinct manner, the group's music defies categorization, as its experimental flair takes command more than frequently.
The Psychotic Monks are sharp and systematic in Gamble and Dangle, and let everything being brought to the boil before exploding.
