Amanda X is an all-girl punk rock/bedroom pop band from Philadephia. They have so far opened for acts like Protomartyr, the Dum Dum Girls and Parquet Courts. Their debut album, Amnesia, is out on Siltbreeze.
For anyone into 90s indie rock like Sleater-Kinney and Blake Babies, Wild Flag, Bikini Kill or Hole, this is undeniably good! The band consists of guitarist Cat Park, bassist Kat Bean and drummer Tiff Yoon and their name came from one of Bart Simpson’s legendary phone pranks at Moe’s Tavern. The album is produced by Jeff Zeigler, who has also worked with The War On Drugs, Kurt Vile, A Sunny Day In Glasgow and Nothing.
Here is a new band in their debut effort, sounding so confident with their presence and sound, setting the bar very high for what they’re about to offer in the future.
Here’s is the track Dream House, followed by their video for Guatemala.
