Co-Sovel: Bitter Heart

Co-Sovel is an experimental pop band from Warsaw, Poland, a project of Izolda Sorenson, known from groups such as Drekoty.

Co-Sovel spoofs poetry of 20th century slovenian dadaist, Srecko Kosovel, changing historical context, but trying to keep the emotionality of the poems’ rebellious character. Izolda translates the Slovenian poems in English and in Polish with an open minded approach, an act signified by the band’s name, a blend of the word “co-operation” with the name “Kosovel”.
