Film and music video director, Ian McFarland, has launched a Kickstarter campaign to support the funding of his new documentary film, The Godfathers Of Hardcore.
The film is about two icons of the New York Hardcore scene, Roger Miret and Vinnie Stigma of Agnostic Front and the big part they played in creating and originating the Hardcore movement. Except being bandmates, Miret and Stigma have also been inseparable friends throughout those many years of the band's existence, since the early 1980s.
After many dangerous adventures, line up changes and tribulations, including Miret's imprisonment on drug charges, Agnostic Front are still alive, having 35 years of making music on their backs and with Miret and Stigma being 50 and 59 years old respectively, they stand strong, with a well received recent album, having earned the respect not only of Hardcore and metal fans, but fans of good music and the counter-culture in general.
The Godfathers Of Hardcore is going to be about the history of the band and the genre, as well as an intimate portrayal of the two great men's friendship.
