Even though Belgium's The Black Heart Rebellion released their debut album, Monologue, in 2008, they exist as a band since 2004, when they started as a hardcore punk band. Since then they have only released three full length albums, with their latest one, People, When You See The Smoke, Do Not Think It Is The Fields They’re Burning, being possibly their most accomplished work to date.
TBHR's sound isn't easy to define. On their third record the band has let go of any trace of their initial character and have moved to more artistic paths, after first having paved the way with Har Nevo in 2012. Throwing it all under the "post metal" umbrella would be an easy way to describe their current sound, but it wouldn't be fair to TBHR's creativity and originality.
TBHR are part of the Church of Ra, the collective around Amenra with it's mystical, artistic aesthetics. that also features Amenra, Oathbreaker, Treha Sektori, Syndrome and Hessian, so it's easy to say they're running with the right crowds.
