The ones who watch closely the synthwave genre must have noticed by now that the NewRetroWave label's releases keep getting stronger and more impressive over time.
NRW's latest release is the new full length album by Italian producer, ORAX, who has previously astounded the synthwave world's audiences with a plethora of EPs and singles. On Cometa ORAX dares to throw in some unpredictable (for many) jazz influences while maintaining the heaviness of the synths and keeping the overall tone dark and kind of esoteric.
Like the cover art is not typical of the cliches we are used to by most synthwave releases so far, the album itself is of that kind that could appeal to audiences beyond the genre's steady fanbase.
