Coming out Latvia's small heavy rock scene, Tesa earned some limited amount of the fame they deserve in 2013 when they toured Europe alongside Neurosis, something that they are about to do again this August. Around the same time their latest release, GHOST, comprised of five songs, each named of a single letter from the album's title, is getting a physical release on CD and double vinyl via My Proud Mountain.
GHOST is expertly mastered by James Plotkin who has worked with some of the best and the heaviest in heavy music like Sunn O))), Electric Wizard, Earth, Isis, Khanate, Michael Gira, Nadja, Merzbow, Tim Hecker and dozens more.
Tesa's music is massive, straightforward and moving, on par with any of the genre top releases that come to one's mind. So far the band has been mostly appreciated for the live shows they've been delivering, but after GHOST it is obvious that Tesa's records deserve much more attention from a larger audience than the one they have and that next to Neurosis they are in good company.
