Earlier this year two of the most solid artists and most reliable presences in post metal got together to release one of 2016's strongest contemporary metal releases.
Sweden's Cult Of Luna and Julie Christmas (Battle Of Mice, Made Out Of Babies, Spylacopa) got together for Mariner, a post metal gem equivalent to Cult Of Luna's fifteen year old legacy and Julie's numerous remarkable ventures under many different bands.
If you're bummed out by the fact that CoL's releases these days don't come as often as they used to back in their early days or the unfortunate untimely demise of Made Out Of Babies, Mariner will pay you back in rich monstrous riffs, vast vocals and affect you through its stunning production. It's highly recommended to listen to it at the loudest volume possible.
Chevron is the new music video from Mariner, directed by Javier Longobardo, is full of cosmic CGI imagery that flirts with the vastness of the universe and its inescapable darkness.
