Saarbrücken is a small town at the German-French border and the home of Fluffy Floor, a gifted trio which commits heavily on dreampop (Dreampop EP was the title of their release last year) with post-punk and shoegaze overtones, producing an excellent raucous result, that probably many of the genre's already successful acts would be jealous of.
Apart from the track premiere of their new song, Lobs (a German nonsensical word that translates to the English word "props"), the band's bassist and vocalist, Jonathan De Beauvoir shares with D//E a funny story about how he met with drummer, Henn, a while ago at their hometown of Saarbrücken:
"There are a lot of churches and pigeons in our neighborhood and as I was active in a local society for the protection of these pigeons, Henn was working as a bell ringer in a church. Of course the favorite hangout-places of pigeons are churches and so our paths crossed one day. I was looking for the nesting pigeons and I found this guy covered in bird shit while he was preparing some bells. It was such a funny moment and at first we were just staring at each other. Then he made us some coffee and we somehow became friends."
