Fans of British indie rock of the yesteryear, thus the good kind, rejoice, because Leeds' greats, The Wedding Present is back with their first album since in four years. Following 2012's, Valentina, the band still led by the immutable David Gedge has already released its ninth full length record, Going, Going... in the UK via Scopitones in September, with the US release coming on December 2nd via Happy Birthday To Me Records.
Going, Going... is in a way one of the most daring concept projects the band's ever done, since it's comprised of twenty tracks, all linked to one another to tell a story about a road trip across the US, and each of them accompanied by a short film, establishing this new LP as one of The Wedding Present's most adventurous and boldest works in their long career. Going, Going... takes the veteran group's act to a whole new level and gives it a cinematic aspect which we guess will be proven to be rejuvenating for this already much loved and respected band.
