Formed back in 2013 and hailing from Calexico and San Diego, CA, dance-punk four-piece, Glass Spells deliver an alluring amalgam made up of vigorous beats, funky bass lines, sharp synthesizers as well as spirited female vocals. The whole mixture will inevitably bring to mind some of your favourite disco-punk acts from the eighties or the style's revival in the 2000s, or even stuff from the No Wave movement.
The band released their debut EP, Desperate Love, in 2014 and spent 2016 releasing a few new superb singles until they put together their self-titled debut album.
