Justly marketed as a "surf band with pop sensibilities and an affliction for rock and roll," New York's High Waisted, fronted by Jessica Louise Dye who also performs with The Hold Steady, released their debut album, On Ludlow, a few months ago on Eat Trash Be Free to much critical acclaim.
Album opener, Trust, comes together with a music video directed by Alexander Lu, which is set up to look like a batch of archive footage clips from 1965, pretty well matching the song's character as well as the band's overall style.
High Waisted will be soon touring in support of their newest release, The Acid Tapes Vol. 3 mixtape and they have already been selected as an official 2017 SXSW participant.
