Bearing a sort of gothic cover and with an enticing first single to lead it in, the new album by Mark Lanegan Band will be called Gargoyle and it's the follow up to 2014's Phantom Radio.
The new album once more will include an impressive lineup of musicians and Lanegan's frequent collaborators, including Josh Homme, Greg Dulli, Alain Johannes and Duke Garwood.
Nocturne, the new single we get to hear off Gargoyle, sounds like it's leaning toward the same direction of Lanegan's last couple of albums, with those stronger electronic undertones edging in beneath the bluesy and dirgeful core of the songs' conventional structures.
