Melbourne based no-wave/pop duo, Astral Skulls, have delivered the first single off their upcoming second album. Following
contact:light from 2015, their new album,
Believe Me It's Here, will be out February 2018. An early representation of it, a charming synthpop single titled
What We Lost, is already available to listen, showcasing the band's tasteful aesthetics, which involve an elegant mixture of rough guitars, irresistible synths and an all-around notion of edgy post-punk meeting the innocence of pop music.
According to the band, comprised of Kurt Eckardt and Kalindy Williams, the new album will be dealing with more down-to-earth issues and themes than their otherworldly-inspired debut. As an introduction to it, the early teaser that comes in the shape of What We Lost, delivers exactly what the duo promises.
