Dublin-based noise rockers, Silverbacks, have a splendid new five-track EP titled Sink The Fat Moon, ready to be out on May 19th through PK Miami Records.
Opening track, Dirty Money, does not only have a title that could have belonged to an early nineties Sonic Youth track, it also sounds as sharp and pithy as that, and if you had to compare it to more indie rock and lo-fi heroes of the past, Sebadoh and Beat Happening would be some fine and sensible choices.
Silverbacks come forth as an auspicious five-piece, one that carries a lot of verve and enthusiasm, and whose stoic and confident delivery sounds well-grounded, and emerges as refreshing, bold and exciting.
